Woodlot associations across the province offer a wide array of extension services. Extension programming is driven by the training needs and interests of association members, and the small scale forestry community.
Woodlot associations have delivered workshops, field trips, guest speaker evenings, and other community events. Contact your local woodlot association to find out more. Let them know what your interests are!

Frequently Asked Questions
What are E-Submissions and ESF (Electronic Submission Framework)?
Answer: Information you used to submit in hard-copy paper submissions to the Ministry of Forests and Range for Cutting Permits, Road Permits, Appraisals, and Silviculture activities now have to be submitted through a computer. As well the government computer systems can now report information back to you and display a map of your tenure and identify the documented information.
The ESF website is: www.for.gov.bc.ca/his/esf/
When does this start?
Answer: Cutting Permits, Road Permits, Appraisals, Silviculture submissions started occurring electronically April 1st, 2005.
Do I still need to submit Annual Reports if I am a Woodlot licensee?
Answer: Yes and no. The information that we used to submit will now be updated or entered directly into RESULTS. There is no longer a paper submission.
RESULTS workshops for Annual Report submissions were delivered in partnership by the MOFR spring 2008 which provided an overview of EFM and how to report activities into RESULTS.
How do I access the BC Government websites?
Answer: You need to get a BCeID.
Every woodlot owner must apply for a BCeID account.
Apply online at: www.for.gov.bc.ca/his/efm/bceidrequest.htm
What is required?
Licensee or Company name, mailing address, last name, first name, email address.
Confirmation letter is sent to the "legal address" of the company.
- Once a BCeID account is created and profiles have been assigned, access to each of the MFR systems should be requested. The following webpage has links to how to get access to various MFR systems: www.for.gov.bc.ca/his/efm/access.htm
